A bit about B

Hello there and welcome to B Crochets.

I post patterns, blogs and the occasional video about my various crochet works and even some fun history I come across. My patterns combine my love of history, symbolism, and all things witchy. I'm looking to start a couple video series on YouTube but for now I have a rather large snowflake project that is front and center for now.

I orginally learned to knit from my aunt when I was around 9. I tried to keep up with it but eventually dropped it, as I forgot much of what she taught me after some time of not knitting. When I was about 23 I tried to pick up knitting again and I ended up learning about the world of crochet on the magical internet. I found crochet much more forgiving for beginners, dropping a stitch is just reseting to my last stitch, not chasing the dropped stitch back and down 3 rows. Since then my collection of crochet hooks, yarn, stitch markers (when I don't lose them) continues to grow :)

I still love knitting but I use it less these days unless I want a specific look for something.

• I have a very wide range of nicknames:

  • B, Bebe, Auntie B (my favorite <3), Bee, Billie, Biki

• I just recently took up the violin.

• My background is in Finance, I have a Master's of Science in Quantitative Finance.

• I used to skateboard, wasn't much good at it but it was pretty fun.

• I learned how to ski this year and while I may not be going to the Olympics I'm doing pretty good.

• I love climbing but have had a slight problem with heights ever since I fell from the top of a boulder flat on my back.

• I moved to Spain from the US this year, 2025.

• I was actually born in Serbia.
